Project Manager

Our client requires a Project Manager, you will play a key role as part of the Product Development team and be responsible for the planning, management and execution of medical device development projects to ensure that such projects are delivered to agreed specification and timescales.
A key responsibility for this role, will be the ability to work successfully within a matrix structure to ensure that project responsibilities and accountabilities are clearly defined and agreed across the organization.
DUTIES
• Drive scope definition and commitment across R&D, marketing and management
• Develop project plans for activities required to achieve agreed project scope, deliverables and deadlines using input from cross-functional resources
• Confirm appropriate team members have been allocated to the project, and manage the team, raising any shortfalls, conflicts or constraints for resolution if necessary
• Work with the project team/stakeholders to develop recovery plans when schedule, scope, cost or product problems arise
• Ensures smooth transition across the organization from initial concept through product development, manufacturing and product launch
• Communicate regular project progress reports for senior management
• Successfully manage stakeholder relationships and information flows

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering
Professional Certification:
PRINCE2 or equivalent

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Specific work experience requirements:
• Substantial project management experience in developing technical products using a structured project management approach
• Proven experience in product specification, project planning and execution within the medical devices/regulated industry
• Demonstrable experience in helping to plan, organise and control multi-disciplinary projects without stifling innovation
• Good financial awareness to ensure effective cost estimation, cost budgeting and cost control
Specific skills and/or business competencies:
• Excellent influencing and facilitation skills with the ability to build teams to deliver projects
• The ability to provide clear, concise and comprehensive verbal and written reports to all levels within and across sites and functions
• The ability to successfully liaise and negotiate with others in the pursuit of goals
• An understanding of team dynamics and providing support and constructive ideas in addressing problems
• To display innovation and creativity with regards to identifying solutions to problems and also improving existing systems and processes
• Clear and decisive decision maker involving problems of both a technical and commercial nature
• Desirable to have an understanding of spoken and written French

International travel required 15% of time
