Development Engineer

Are you a practically minded Development Engineer? – hands on with a passion to “get things done!” – Sound like you?

My client are a leading developer and supplier of equipment into the Lighting and architectural sector. Working with major construction projects throughout the UK they are looking for a focused Development Engineer to ease international projects through the post design stages.

Your projects could include issues around value engineering, scaling-up production, quality, obsolescence and manufacturing requests. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team across a number of sites in the UK and EU so some travel opportunities exist also. You will be competent on SolidWorks or similar – but this is not a CAD heavy role as you will have an element of project management and manufacturing engineering. This is a broad role suiting Project Engineers, Manufacturing or Design engineers that might want a wider scope.

You will be qualified to HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical or Engineering or Manufacturing and be competent with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD packages.
