Sign Fitter

Salary: £26,000 per year

We are currently recruiting for a Sign Fitter for a busy graphics company based in Huddersfield (HD8).

This is a permanent role, and an excellent opportunity to join a small, friendly team within a well established, expanding business.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
– Carrying out all aspects of sign and graphic installations on behalf of the company, such as flat panel signs, tray signs, 3D signage, illuminated signage, vehicle graphics, window graphics, wall graphics, acrylic displays, printed fabric displays and banners etc.
– Loading and checking goods into the vehicle
– Dealing with customers and members of the public in a professional manner throughout the day
– Ensuring all works are completed to a satisfactory standard, leaving sites clean and tidy
– Carrying out a small amount of admin during the course of their duties, creating and processing orders and delivery notes as required, taking photos of all completed works, and ensuring health and safety paperwork is up to date for each and every job
– Assisting with the daily operations of the workshop whenever they are at the company’s headquarters, assisting staff in the production and manufacture of signs and graphics and keeping the factory clean and tidy
– Being responsible for the company vehicle, driving to and from sites, making deliveries and collections, and maintaining good order of stocks, tools and equipment contained within

Required Skills/Qualifications:
– The ideal candidate would be an experienced sign fitter, but we may consider a candidate with relevant transferrable skills
– This work regularly includes work at height from ladders, temporary scaffolding platforms and occasionally powered access platforms. The correct training for each of the above would be provided by the company if the successful candidate does not hold current necessary qualifications
– Full UK clean driving licence

Hours:
– Basic hours are 8:30am until 5:00pm Monday – Friday, with a 30 minute lunch break
– The installation works will sometimes be out of the region and require overnight stays, and occasionally works will need to take place outside of office hours, or at weekends.
– It is also very common for our work to run over and require overtime without notice

Salary:
– Salary starting at £26,000+ per year, based upon level of experience
