Electronics Estimator

My client based in Basingstoke is an international manufacturing company specilaising in Electronic manufacturing services and cable assemblies. They are seeking an Electronics Estimator this will suit a candidate with a procurement background who is comfortable with customers and suppliers.

Electronics Estimator – Requirements
1. Overall responsibility for first pass materials estimating which is to be carried out in accordance with the best possible pricing opportunities

2. Be proactive in demanding that all required data is available in order to produce a professional materials estimate.

3. Expediting – support the materials & purchasing functions on a weekly basis with specific focus on expediting parts on the supply chain to achieve minimal production shortages.

4. Assist Purchasing â source & procure material for designated customer projects where required in a support role to purchasing.

5. Preparing labour costings on PCB jobs using the available template.

Electronics Estimator – Ongoing Objectives
1. Regularly be actively involved in supplier review meetings
2. Ensure estimating consistency
3. Liaise with customers on a regular basis
