Salary: £36,000 per year
Production Planner required for Ipswich based manufacturer. The successful Production Planner will be responsible for planning the production/packing of products in an efficient manner, scheduling the correct quantities of material, goods and products inbound to the business from suppliers and to control the detailed manufacturing plan to be consistent within a lean manufacturing facility.
Main Duties
* In conjunction with the Production Manager and Production coordinator, produce a Production schedule using our MRP system and creating Work to Lists.
* Maintain Routings and BOM to ensure schedule is accurate.
* Run MRP and action suggestions.
* Creating estimates for new product enquiries
* Reviewing and updating old estimates
* Generate parts on the system.
* Manage & control free issue materials.
* Carry out closed job analysis.
* Reporting on KPI’s – job costing, on time delivery, inventory levels etc.
* Provide information on the status of the plan and achievements to date, using management reporting techniques.
* Cover Production Planner when absent.
Ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience in a production planning role, have strong understanding of MRP, excellent organisational, multi-tasking and admin skills and a great eye for detail.
Hours 8.30 am – 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday. Salary £36,000free onsite parking, subsided canteen and once permanent addition benefits include Death in Service. Own transport essential due to location.
