Production Engineer

Salary: £26,000 – £41,691 per year
The Production Engineer will be responsible for optimising production processes and control the transfer of new products into production manufacturing
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
* Technical support for existing manufacturing processes
* Leadership of New Product Introductions and Transfers onto site
* Process improvements (capacity increase, scrap/cost reduction)
* Project management and Change Control (new technology, new equipment, process improvements)
* Design of manufacturing jigs and fixtures
* Subject Matter Expert for quality investigations and regulatory audits
* Assist with shop floor Continuous Improvement initiatives
* Monitor and control process performance. Generate KPIs and monthly summary reports
* Assist in maintaining systems to ensure compliance to ISO 13485 and regulatory IVD requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
* Preferably educated to degree level in Engineering, Technical or a Science related topic
* Knowledge of process improvement methods (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) and Project Management
* Ideally, experience of working in a regulated manufacturing sector (e.g. medical device, pharma, aerospace, cleanroom)
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Ability to work accurately and within strict deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organisational, planning and administrative abilities

Excellent salary will be paid to the successful candidate. 10% bonus paid annualy
