Role: Planner/Scheduler
Location: Eastwick, Hertfordshire
Salary: £26,000per year (Temp to Perm)

The Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced Maintenance/Repairs Planners/Scheduler for a large social housing contract in Eastwick, Hertfordshire.

Duties/responsibilities
-Managing operatives diaries
-Liaising with tenants and operatives to arrange repairs
-Planning repairs works for pre and post inspection, reactive, voids and emergency repairs
-Prioritising emergency works
-Booking appointments and allocating works to the available operatives, and following works from start through to completion
-Effectively communicating any concerns about work quality and ensure operatives have the right materials to complete their work
-Ensure all relevant data is updated on a timely basis

A typical day will consist of:

– Arrange 1st Appointments

Within 4 hours of all jobs being raised (except emergencies) make contact with the customer to arrange a mutual convenient appointment within target date.All calls must be dealt with in an efficient and professional manner escalating to team leader for guidance when needed.

– 1st Appointment Confirmations

Following all arranged 1st appointments send a confirmation email to the client for their records (using template provided).

– Customer and Client Calls

Be the first point of contact for customer and client call enquiries, progress all enquiries through to a successful outcome liaising with resource control, resources, suppliers when needed.All calls must be dealt with in an efficient and professional manner escalating to team leader for guidance when needed.

– Customer and Client Emails

Be the first point of contact for customer and client email enquiries, progress all enquiries through to a successful outcome liaising with resource control, resources, suppliers when needed.All emails must be dealt with in an efficient and professional manner escalating to team leader for guidance when needed.

– Customer and Client Complaints

Be the first point of contact for customer and client complaints, carry out initial investigations liaising with resource control, resources, and suppliers when needed.All complaints must be dealt with in an efficient and professional manner escalating to team leader for guidance when needed.

– Emergencies

Monitor emergencies being received throughout the day and highlight to the resource control team.

– Job Approvals

Job approvals to be kept up to date at all times to assist accurate performance reporting, offer support to resource control when needed.

– Work in Progress Management

Using management reports (provided) all jobs are continually progressed through to completion, offer support to resource control when needed.

The ideal candidate
For this role, you must have social housing experience, a good telephone manner, be organised, have the ability to prioritise work, and pay attention to detail. Exposure or experience to gas repairs/maintenance would desirable though not essential.
