Housing Officer

BRC Social Housing are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer for one of our key clients in Devon. This is an initial 3 month contract whilst they recruit permanently and you will be able to apply for the permanent position.

We require experienced Housing Officers to carry out ASB case management, lettings, Rent Arrears and generic housing management (general needs, sheltered and mixed tenure)

Key duties of the role include:

– Deliver a high quality housing management service for a defined patch that meets the needs and expectations of current/future residents.
– Effectively manage all ASB cases in line with the prescribed policies and practices to build community cohesion.
– Develop, build and maintain relationships with tenants and other key stakeholders
– Ensure the effective management of complaints in line with policy, focussing on first contact resolution
– Update and maintain all manual and computerised records in an accurate and timely manner

In order to be considered for the role of Housing Officer it is essential that you have previous experience of managing a patch of properties for a Housing Association or Local Authority. You should have previous experience of preparing documentation for Court Work and representing the organisation at Court
