Finance Officer

Salary: £26,000 – £31,200 per year

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting an experienced Finance Officer on behalf of a successful, growing business in the centre of Sheffield.

This newly created role, you will join the team as a Finance Officer and be responsible for the maintenance of the Sales & Purchase Ledger, cash book and fixed asset register. In this role, you will support with month-end procedures including accruals, prepayments and journal postings whilst providing essential contribution to general upkeep of the finance department.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

– Assisting with the month end close down
– VAT returns
– Trial balance
– Overseeing the payroll function including liaising with HMRC
– Processing both sales and purchase ledger invoices
– Credit Control

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

– At least 2 years of experience in a book keeper capacity
– Competent user of Microsoft Excel
– Organised and methodical approach to work
– Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
