Salary: £26,000 per year
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver safe, ethical and effective wellbeing interventions for the people of Milton Keynes.
Mind BLMK is the leading local mental health charity, working in close partnership with other agencies to provide friendship, respect, opportunity and choice to improve the lives of people with a range of mental health needs.
Wellbeing Coordinator, Milton Keynes
Fixed term until 31.12.16
£26,000 per year pro rata (£26,000 per year actual)
Part-time, 8.0 hours per week, worked every Thursday (5.0hrs) and one additional day (3.0hrs) worked flexibly as required (potentially occasional Saturdays or evenings)
Skills and Experience:
• Must be able to provide evidence of promoting service user involvement and empowerment.
• Must be able to give examples of a strong commitment to the promotion of equal opportunities.
• Must to be able to provide examples of supporting the dignity of the individual.
• Must have experience of supporting people to improve their mental wellbeing.
• Must have experience of developing and delivering a service.
• Must have experience of assessing people for the most suitable service to meet their needs.
• Must have experience of delivering or supporting training sessions.
• Must have experience of working as part of a team.
• Desirable to have experience working with volunteers.
• Must know the organisations/agencies who deliver services to support wellbeing needs.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of the wellbeing of people with mental health needs.
• Must be able to establish and maintain relationships with a wide range of people.
• Must have good communication and listening skills.
• Must be able to facilitate groups.
• Must be IT literate and be confident in using the internet, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Must be practical and have good organisational skills.
• Must be able to research and evaluate services
• Must have ability to motive self and others.
• Must be able to work flexibly if required.
• Desirable to have a PTLLS qualification.
