BMR Solutions is currently looking to recruit for a Warehouse Operative to work for our client who are an engineering company based in Bristol.
Job Title: Warehouse / Stores Operative
Location: Bristol
Contract: ongoing (4-6 weeks likely)
Rate/Salary: DOE
Key Skills & Experience: Warehouse experience, goods in / goods out, forklift licence, stores experience, booking in, stock checking, SAP, Data Entry
JOB SPECIFICATION
1. Education & Training
Standard GCSE or equivalent.
Quality Assurance Qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
2. Competencies & Experience
• High standards of computer keyboard skills consistent with fast and accurate data entry.
• Ability to use the database and spreadsheet systems to identify and use engineering data, bills of material and drawings.
• Ability to work to deadlines and to maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Team Player.
• Numerate.
• Experience of controlling and managing stock levels in a similar stores
environment. Desirable.
• Organised, tidy and methodical.
• Flexible on working hours as required
3. Outline of Job Requirements
Overall job description:
• Receive deliveries of parts delivered to Stores
• Enter and put detail on Purchase Order. Assign to relevant Job Number.
• Maintain stock item data and bills of material to the PICS system.
• Picking of shop orders.
• Picking, packing and despatch of customer orders.
• Contribute to the stores being a tidy and safe working environment.
• Checking, receiving and storing goods.
• Technical background in component manufacture and ability to interpret drawings, standards and specifications.
• Computer literacy with standard inventory control systems and with Excel.
• Demonstrable commitment to quality and efficiency.
• Quality assurance qualifications and familiarity with ISO certification desirable.
• Ability to check parts to drawings.
• FLT licence advantageous.
• Provide holiday/sickness cover for other Stores positions
4. Responsibilities
• Receiving parts from external suppliers and checking against purchase orders and drawings.
• Entering data into the computerised inventory control system.
• Maintain records of material despatches and returns
In addition, assist as necessary with:
• Carrying out detailed dimensional and visual inspection on critical components.
• Completing and processing actions on any non-conforming parts.
• Working with Purchasing to progress supplier returns or rework.
• Segregating any parts received for secondary processing and ensuring that these are handled appropriately.
• Efficient and timely tracing of secondary processes.
• Stock Checks. Assist in Cycle Counts and Stock Audits.
