Warehouse / Stores Operative

Salary: £26,000 per year

Permanent position. 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The client, a long established engineering/manufacturing company based in Chester have an exciting permanent role for a new member to join their warehouse/despatch team.

Due to an increase in production they are now looking for a self-motivated individual to join their team in packing. 

No experience required as full training can be given, although if you do have some experience working in a manufacturing or stores environment or would just like the opportunity to grow a worthwhile career in manufacturing/despatch then please feel free to apply where all applications will be strongly considered.

Duties will include:

• Ensure that all Company documentation and records are completed and present prior to packing
• each item in accordance with specification and customer requirements
• To identify any non-conformities and report them to the appropriate manager immediately
• Identify and implement operational improvements
• Liaise with the Transport Co-ordinator to ensure collection/delivery schedule is maintained
• Ensure correct labelling is applied and visible
• Keeping the packing area clean, tidy and free of hazards
• Moving products using prescribed methods
• Maintain safe working practices

No formal qualifications are required although the successful candidate will have good communication skills, be a team player and able to follow specifications.

A fork lift truck licence would be beneficial but training can be provided.
