Warehouse Stock Controller

Our client in the Andover area is looking for a Materials and Stock Controller to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a permanent position, working Monday – Friday within office hours, paying up to £26,000 depending upon experience.

– Role Responsibilities-

Stock
Ensure the tasks which assist the service and maintenance of stock are carried out in compliance with company procedures
Carry out daily checking of stock to meet the departments targets
Ensure changes to stock accuracy has been given relevant authorisation before going ahead
Carry out routine checking of stock control reports
Ensure the goods in process is carried out correctly and items stored in the correct location after QC inspection
Ensure stock controllers are carrying out their duties efficiently to meet the needs of production

Goods In
Assist in arranging shipping of equipment and also production
Ensure correct paperwork is prepared for deliveries

Expediting
Work with the production supervisor and purchasing to proactively order parts to meet production requirements

Spares
Ensure daily picking and shipping of test equipment and spares are dealt with in a timely manner

Other
Carry out picking from stock for dispatch and production areas
Carry out all practises in line with company procedures
Ensure Health and Safety is maintained at all times including housekeeping

– Skills/Experience –

in a busy production/materials/goods in environment
Stock control and distribution of parts
Management of picking/packing and shipping of products including next day
Understanding of goods in working and invoice paperwork
Understanding of MRP
Customer focused, strong interpersonal and communication skills
Used a sales, purchasing or inventory system/software
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
Fork lift certificate would be advantageous
