Salary: £26,000 per year
Our client is looking to recruit for an assistant manager to be based in their busy Depot for initially a 6 month contract ( possibility of going permanent after this)
The main objective of this role is to manage service drivers, cleaners, stock controllers and administration staff alongside the depot manager ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity at all times.
They will be responsible for recruiting, training, appraising and disciplining service personnel, including monitoring the levels of productivity, driver hours and other targets against depot KPI’s.
They will ensure that the depot and all personnel abide by health and safety regulations, take responsibility for risk assessments, to keep up to date with changing waste legislation and communicate this to all staff, both orally and in writing.
To carry out route audits on all drivers at pre-determined intervals.
To carry out checks on day to day maintenance of vans.
The assistant manager would be required to deputise for the WTS where necessary.
Must have held a full driving license for a minimum of 12 months and have no more than 6 endorsement points.
Must be computer literate in Microsoft packages.
Salary: £26,000+ Bonuses of up to a further 1K
Hours – 40 per week
