UK Virology Product Specialist

As UK Virology Product Specialist you will provide field-based clinical and applications support throughout the lifecycle of the company’s viral load products so that all business opportunities are maximised.

This global leader develops, manufactures and markets molecular diagnostics products and services which pioneer advances in human health care. In this newly created role as Virology Product Specialist you will:

Provide expert technical support across the UK addressing technical/clinical issues, working through product comparisons, addressing objections during the sales process either directly or through your sales colleagues, and assisting with tenders / quotes.

Support Clinical trials and new assay field trials.

Monitor assay and instrument performances in the field.

Maintain high level support and relationships with Virologist Key Opinion Leaders.

Provide technical presentations and product demonstrations at customer meetings, industry or scientific conferences.

Supervise and participate in training sessions for customers.

Troubleshoot problems with assays or instrumentation.

An outstanding communicator, you should be degree qualified or higher in Molecular / Microbiology with experience and technical competency of working in a Virology / Microbiology laboratory viral load setting specialising in HIV or other infectious diseases. Previous technical / application support and or sales / marketing experience is key for this important role.
