CSSD Team Leader – (Night Shift) – £22,301 + Benefits

My client is part of an international privately owned company and is a market leader in the reprocessing of medical devices. This company offers customised solutions to hospitals for the modernisation of their Central Sterile Supply Department. This involves supplying decontamination / sterile services to a number of private hospitals in the region. They are now looking to recruit an experienced Night Shift Team Leader for their Sterile Services Unit in Stockport (Hours 11pm – 7am)

In the Role of Team Leader you will:

Provide a first class decontamination sterile service to the operating department, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments.
Manage, motivate, train and engage the Unit’s workforce
Report any problems with equipment or instruments to the SSD Supervisors.
Promote and maintain the highest level of Health & Safety for the protection of staff, patients and visitors.
Work as an active member of the SSD team ensuring agreed standards are maintained.
Ensure daily maintenance of machinery is carried out and any faults reported.
Ensure that all Unit activities are in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
Assist in the induction of new staff and technicians.
Ensure that all equipment is operated safely and processes documented.
Maintain and supervise Unit hygiene, maintenance and cleanliness
Manage the team’s performance on an ongoing basis.
