Transport Planner

Salary: £30,000 – £33,600 per year

Search Consultancy are partnering with a fantastic family owned Transport company based in Warrington to bring them a Transport Planner. This is an exciting time to join my client as a Transport Planner as they have experienced high levels of growth over the last 2 years and has very exciting plans for further growth in the near future.

My client are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and hardworking individual who enjoys the daily challenges of working in a busy transport department, and must be able to work as part of a successful team as well as using your own initiative.

Key responsibilities and duties:
* Planning of Network/General deliveries
* Planning Collections
* Booking in of Network/General deliveries
* Liaising with delivery points
* Ensuring all emails are dealt with in a timely manner
* Assist with general admin duties
* Managing and De-briefing drivers
* Meeting on a regular basis with Line managers to ensure that we are operating efficiently
* Monitoring timed delivery performance
* Working towards agreed KPI’s

Essential Skills:
* Previous experience of working within a similar role in the logistics industry
* Have a good understanding of legal compliance, driver’s hours and WTD’S
* Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* IT literate including MS office
* Geographical Knowledge
