Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

We are recruiting for a Trainee Project Planner to be based within our busy Head Office team on the outskirts of Lincoln. You must be a passionate and driven individual to provide high quality sustainable design and project delivery and meet client requirements within their key market sectors.
Within this role your responsibilities will include:
* To interact and become a key member of the project delivery team providing a quality service to support the effective delivery of the project. Good communication skills are essential.
* Involvement with the design team in all aspects of project planning, programming, resource loading programmes and progress monitoring.
* Interacting with and supporting the effective information sharing / collection with all the project stakeholders in an appropriate manner.
* To attend and contribute to design team meetings and other associated meetings, both in the office and on site.
* Prepare a project work breakdown structure and plan / schedule which is capable of delivering the project objectives and providing effective project performance measurement and reporting.
* To develop the appropriate quality plan / schedule in line with the project scheduling principles and processes.
* Monitor and progress the plan / schedule and make changes as required.
* Assist in the management of change with regards to impact on programmes and progress.
* Maintain look-ahead plans/programmes and advise on implications
* Input the planning issues into the project’s critical issues risk log. Review planning risks and monitor whether the risk register is updated accordingly.
* Report actual performance and variance against plan and forecast outcomes. Highlight key milestone and critical path issues to members of the team, provide an assessment of the impact of such issues and recommend solutions to correct the position.
The succesful candidate will have previous relevant experience in the successful production of programmes from a design perspective and experience of using a number of project management scheduling tools & techniques.
