Trade Sales Manager

Salary: £33,600 – £38,400 per year

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to join this national supplier of plumbing, heating and electrical products for trade. They are looking for an experienced sales person with a background in DIY retail or electrical wholesale, to set up and build an electrical implant within a busy and successful branch.

The role

To build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customer such as electricians, plumbing and heating engineers and local councils
To successfully integrate the electrical implant within the branch by building relationships with branch colleagues
Dealing with suppliers to ensure the customer receives the correct products within the agreed time limits
Maximising profitability of the branch by ensuring products are sold with the best possible margins
Dealing with customers on the phone and face-to-face both in the branch and on site
Delivering against agreed sales targets and KPI’s to build and grow the electrical department within the branch
Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed at all times to ensure the branch is a safe environment

Experience / Attributes required

A track record in sales preferably dealing with trade customers with experience in hitting and over achieving sales targets either on the phone of face-to-face
Ability to analyse complex data such as financial and statistical information
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills with confidence to build relationships with customers both face-to-face and over the phone
Product knowledge not essential as full training will be given
