Telematics Service Manager – Connected Car – International

Telematics Service Manager – Based in Shanghai

Are you experienced in Telematics and cloud platforms? Do you speak fluent Mandarin and English? Have you previously worked in China and understand the working culture?

I have an exciting position for an experienced Engineer in Telematics, Connected Car and Project Management, to work from a leading luxury automotive OEM in their Chinese Engine facility. Based out of Shanghai you will also be able to travel to and from the UK as required. Services operate in conjunction with Smartphone and Tablet Applications, and are built on a number of Cloud platforms. You will be tasked to manage the local telematics service desk operational team and lead resolve of local infrastructure operational issues.

The role will require you to:

Run the telematics services desk and the services provided by partners in China (such as China Unicom Hosting & telecommunication, WirelessCar telematics backend), incl. Incident Reviews, Service Reviews and Incident & supplier reporting
Managing transfer of issues between integration China and UK
Handling escalated technical Incidents on a 24×7 basis
Escalating of Incidents, in English, to the central Telematics Service Desk Connected Car Operations Team in the UK
Creating and distributing Management Reporting on a Weekly and Monthly basis, to include that of the Connected Car partners
Providing delivery direction, quality assurance and issue escalation and resolution for internal and 3rd party stakeholders
Maintaining engagement and alignment within the wider structure of Connected Car programmes for China programmes
Overseeing the triage of all market specific issues and feedback common issues to core Integration (FMS or customer based issues)
Managing and resource any specific in market AIMS adhering to the EESE required resolution timing
Ensuring the delivery of a consistent and sustainable customer service while minimising operational risk
Coordinating internal providers and third party suppliers, and manage the Connected Car Service Desk.
Overseeing the proactively monitoring and improving service levels, quality and overall performance
Supervising change requests and new releases, and overseeing communications with our organisation and external parties.For someone experienced in Telematics, you will be able to show:

Project Management and Issue Triage
Stakeholder Management
Managing geographically, and culturally diverse project teams (Fluent in both English and Mandarin)
Managing multiple 3rd parties, and internal stakeholders.
Project tracking and reporting.
Managing multiple incidents simultaneously.
China and English language fluency is a requirement.
Experience in mobile telecommunications, and/or vehicle telematics.
Experience working in multiple cultures, China specifically would be an advantageThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Telematics Engineer or Telematics Project Manager to join a leading automotive OEM at a high level and steer service delivery for the Telematics department internationally.
