Technical Trainer

Salary: £42,000 per year

Platform Resourcing are currently working in partnership with an Insurance Provider who have offices based in South Wales. This business work within several areas of Insurance, providing cover to a range of High-Net-Worth Individuals and Net Worth items. They have experienced an unprecedented period of growth and demand for their services in recent years and are currently in the process to growing their team of insurance professionals. To support this growth this client are looking to recruit for a Technical Trainer who can support them during this time.

The main purpose of the Technical Trainer role will be to design and deliver professional and innovative learning interventions across the customer service area of the business, ensuring that learners remain engaged throughout and acquire the desired level of knowledge to transfer to the workplace confidently and competently. Technical Trainers partner and work with stakeholders at a variety of levels across the business and take responsibility for their own development, continuously refreshing and building their understanding of both the business and the highly regulated industry in which they operate.

* Competitive salary on offer, up to £42,000p/a

* Hours of work: 40 hours per week Monday – Friday, 2 shifts at 9am – 6pm or 8am-5pm

Duties and Responsibilities

* Design, develop and deliver a range of learning and development programmes and initiatives to meet the organisations needs and future ambitions

* Deliver the corporate induction programme for all new employees, introducing necessary changes to ensure the content is innovative and engaging and aligned with business goals and objectives

* Support the delivery of the change agenda by creating targeted training interventions, working closely with the change team and key stakeholders to ensure change is embedded successfully throughout the business

* Work closely with our compliance team to understand key regulatory training requirements and design and deliver effective learning solutions to support the delivery of our compliance agenda (Lloyd’s/FCA)

* Design and deliver system training and desktop process guides to ensure our colleagues have the necessary skills & knowledge to utilise our policy and claims systems effectively

* Deliver & facilitate workshops across all areas of the business including the senior leadership team

Essential

* A comprehensive working knowledge within an FCA regulated environment, to enable transfer of knowledge through training courses and coaching

* The ability to operate flexibly and adapt quickly to the changing needs of the business and learners whilst in the learning environment.

* Knowledge of the UK insurance market & Lloyd’s market is preferred

* Knowledge and understanding of FCA rules and guidelines

* Strong IT skills
