Technical Support Technician

MechoSystems, Inc. has an exceptional opportunity for a reliable, self-motivated Technical Support (TS) to make an immediate impact in a new and expanding department. Responsibilities include: installation troubleshooting, phone technical support, product training, literature support and integration training with 3rd party systems. The role will also include setting up address schedules for automated shade control systems.

Position Responsibilities:
• Acting as liaison between the Engineering and Support Departments.
• Installation troubleshooting.
• Telephone technical support.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment and/or system problems.
• Maintaining professional relationships with construction, design team, dealers, and end users.
• Product testing and training.
• Integration training with 3rd party systems.
• Providing onsite and remote technical support as required.
• Documentation support to marketing, CAD, engineering, and others as required.
Requirements:
• 1-2 years experience supporting electronic products.
• Experience with one or more of the following: audio visual, security, CCTV, lighting, residential and commercial automation systems.
• Excellent technical and communication skills.
• Excellent customer interfacing skills.
• Capable of reading schematics and troubleshooting systems down to the device level.
• Familiarity with standard hard wired and bus control technologies.
• Ability to read blueprints and architectural details a plus.
• Database knowledge a plus.
