We are looking for a Technical Specialist.
This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for the senior risk outcomes through interfacing with capital and other delivery teams during project scoping, design, delivery, commissioning, and sign-off. You will be directly representing the production team through all phases of the project delivery to BAU. You will be responsible for projects across North East London which will include process, ME&ICA, and civils improvement across all our sites.

Due to the nature of the role, you can be based at several our water production sites depending on work priorities

Your main accountabilities will be:

  • Technical competence – continuously develop and maintain operational expertise in a specific area to build positive relationships and deliver projects in a timely manner
  • Capital Delivery Interface: confident and trusted to interface with capital and other delivery teams (small and large projects) and asset management during scoping, design, delivery, and commissioning; effectively communicating with the area operations team to ensure that they know what is going on and able to take over
  • Capital Delivery Facilitation: ensure that projects are facilitated directly or through the area operations team, including supporting permitting and outage management
  • Health & Safety: supporting the maintenance of statutory compliance in the area
  • Technical Team Support: able to step in to support area the Technical Team, understanding the risk management process and process assurance methods

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Have strong Process Competence – including Management of Water Production (MoWP) and Management of Disinfection and extensive practical operational experience
  • Be technically competent in (specific) area operations over and above MoWP
  • Have construction and/or asset management experience advantageous
  • IOSH; knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and application
  • Have strong IT skills (especially in MS Excel) and an ability to interrogate data
  • Be a good communicator and ability to develop effective relationships
  • Have financial and commercial acumen
