Position: Technical SEO Strategist
Location: Chester, Hybrid working (mix of onsite and remote)
Salary: 33k Pounds per annum
The Technical SEO Strategist will have a demonstrable experience and knowledge of critical areas of technical SEO – including, but not limited to, site speed optimisation, log file analysis, crawl budget/crawl rate optimisation, XML sitemap configuration, site structure and duplicate content resolution.
A key part of the role is the ability to work through website migrations, with the view to retain and migrate sites to targeted session performance.
The successful candidate will have strong data analysis skills with the ability to spot trends and draw insight from data sets. Experience with tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Tag Manager, SEMRush, AHrefs and keyword tracking tools would be required.
The role of the Technical SEO Strategist will require tasks related to the management of an executive, including the ability to support managing workloads and performing regular personal reviews and setting KPI’s.
The Technical SEO Strategist must have a solid understanding of SEO best practices, the experience of Google Analytics and working with data, and will have previously conducted in-depth website audits.
Responsibilities:
You will be reporting into the SEO Manager and will be responsible for the Technical SEO Executive. You will be accountable for the following areas of responsibility:
– Perform regular SEO audits on our websites and Sister brands, and organise work into the Marketing Tech workflow
– Perform keyword research to highlight opportunities to feed into the SEO Team’s workflow for our portfolio of websites
– Be responsible for leading on website migrations where SEO are involved
– Manage the Technical SEO executive(s) workload and perform regular performance reviews
– Work alongside the Product Team to ensure Organic performance are taken into consideration with website development.
– Work alongside the Tech, Product and SEO teams in website migrations, applying SEO best practices to ensure minimal disruption to Organic performance.
Must-Haves:
* Strong knowledge of SEO best practices
* Experience in using Google Analytics & Google Search Console
* Screaming Frog
* SEMRush & Ahrefs
* Experience working effectively as part of a team
* Competent user of Excel and analytical approach to projects.
* Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
* Proven success in a Technical SEO role
Hybrid Working: Across the business with a mixture of remote and office working available and will be discussed at the interview
Benefits: Pension
Working hours for this position will be 37.5 per week to be worked Monday – Friday, 9 am-5.30 pm.
