PROFILE

My client is an engineering organisation involved in the automated manufacturing of large scale mechanical assemblies.

JOB PURPOSE

The Technical Author required to work within the Projects and Quality departments, providing support on activities relating to data book compilation, operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals and other similar activities.

+ Complete activities relating to:
– Compilation and digitisation of Data Books, Maintenance Manuals & Instruction Manuals
– Review and compilation of content for O&M Manuals
– Production of the O&M narrative
+ Expediting of sub-vendor documentation as required
+ Compilation of large multi-section documents both hard and digital copies
+ Issue of documentation to Document Control
+ Preparation of standard company documentation
+ Cross-referencing documentation and drawings
+ Update company document templates

THE CANDIDATE

+ Knowledge of technical and engineering documentation, drawings and processes
+ Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
+ Detail orientated
+ Good organisation skills
+ Good time management
+ Ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance
+ Excellent MS Office skills (Word and Excel)
+ Ability to read and interpret technical documents
+ Knowledge of using Adobe Acrobat or similar for manual compilations

PACKAGE

£28,000-35,000 pro rata depending on experience
12 month initial contract
