Tax and Financial Accountant

An instantly recognisable brand based near Mansfield are currently recruiting for an ACCA/ACA qualified individual who is looking to make their first move from Practice. This is a role that focuses heavily on Tax and as such the successful candidate will have experience with Tax, namely Corporation Tax.

The opportunity however will also give you plenty of experience in a more rounded Financial Accounts role including exposure to Sarbanes Oxley. The business is experiencing some fantastic changes at the moment and there is certainly scope moving forward for the right person to increase their skill set and responsibilities.

If you are a qualified (ACA/ACCA) Accountant and looking to make a move into a dynamic, growing organisation, this is the right role for you.

Duties will include:

Assist with the Corporation Tax compliance cycle and any HMRC queries.
Preparation of the Corporation Tax Returns and tax accounting computations for all Group companies.
Preparation of the Group’s capital allowances
Assist with Corporation Tax forecasts and the calculation of quarterly payments.
Preparation of all subsidiary company year-end financial statements, including liaising with the Group’s external auditors
Assist with quarterly and ad-hoc reporting, ensuring that the procedures followed are compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Maintenance of the Group’s fixed asset register, calculation of depreciation and responding to external auditor queries
Complete the quarterly VAT returns and reconcile amounts payable to the Group’s accounting records.
Be the first point of contact for HMRC on all VAT queries.

Who should apply?
The client is willing to consider someone recently qualified as well as someone who has a reasonable amount of post qualified experience. As long as you can demonstrate Tax experience of some description, your application will be considered.
