Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year
Walters People have partnered with a leading business based in central Birmingham who are looking for a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Financial Reporting Manager, this position would best suit a detailed oriented, part qualified/finalist Accountant who has strong knowledge around IFRS and experience of group reporting.
Key Responsibilities as the Financial Accountant:
* You will be responsible for financial reporting and control environment including, contact with external auditors, especially for technical accounting, disclosures and group reporting
* You will assist with management of internal audits carried out by Group
* Responsibility for ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting policies
* Periodic reporting and period end reporting Group
* Month end reporting to Group
* Budget and Quarterly re-forecasts to Group
* 5 year plans
* Full and half year packs (including tax packs)
* Resolving queries from Group from above submissions
* Preparation of cash forecasts
* Other ad hoc projects
* Any other duties required by the Finance Director or Head of Finance which are appropriate to the post.
About you as the Financial Accountant:
* Part Qualified/Finalist Accountant
* Experience of technical accounting and analysis – IFRS16
* Strong Excel
* Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
* Able to prepare multiple consolidations
* Strong inter-personal skills
* Attention to detail
