Financial Accountant

Salary: £46,800 per year

We are currently working with an Exeter based charitable organisation who are looking to appoint a permanent Finance Accountant. Our client is proud to be one of leading providers of support services for older people and those with learning disabilities across the South West.

The role is a full time permanent position and the salary is £46,800.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the accountancy field, and also be at least part qualified with an accounting body.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

* Carrying out and delivering balance sheet reconciliations

* Preparing financial statements in preparation for audits

* Manipulating and logging large volumes of data efficiently

* Undertaking monthly control account reconciliations

* Preparing statutory accounts monthly cash flow forecasts

* Providing financial support to the Head of Finance to assist in key decision making

* Processing VAT returns and ensuring compliance

* Reviewing and updating the processing procedures

* Monitoring internal controls and highlighting any errors

Experience required:

* Part qualified within the Accountancy field

* Carrying out balance sheet reconciliations

* Strong excel skills and knowledge of handling large volumes of data
