Systems Coordinator

Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £31,200 – £38,400depending on experience

Hours: 40 hours, flexible working

Location: Melksham, SN12 6TS

We are currently looking for a Systems Coordinator to provide business administration support to our highway maintenance contract in Wiltshire.

The Systems Coordinator will be responsible for providing critical business support into 3 key areas of our office operation. Firstly, they will manage all dialogue with our client on new highway defects across the borough, allocating them into our clients bespoke system ready for our operational teams to assess and repair. They will work with our GIS team to map out the defects and assets across the borough (training provided) and they will be the go-to individual for updating laptops and mobile phones ready for redistribution to our operational team. The successful candidate won’t necessarily have a construction or highway background however will have held a similar senior administrative role and be confident in their ability to manage mobile device updates. They will have excellent communication skills with the ability to talk to both senior clients as well as highway operatives.

The successful candidate will have;

  • Experience in a senior administrative position
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Works well unsupervised as well as working as part of team
  • Comfortable using and preparing android mobile phones & Laptops for redistribution
  • Excellent IT Skills (eg) MS Office, MS Project (training provided)

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing general business administrative support
  • Management of highway defects ensuring accurate and appropriate close out
  • Liaising with Supervisors/Operatives/Parish Stewards to ensure that works tickets are closed in a timely manner
  • Providing a first point of contact in relation to device issues 
  • Managing PC updates – device system, security and platform updates
  • Monitoring and supporting ESRI GIS Data collection
  • Ensuring that all users receive training in the use of the system
  • Assisting in the preparation of regular reports and performance data
