Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Support Worker’s to join a well established children’s home based in Plumstead and/or Sidcup. We have over 35 years of residential childcare experience, with 10 residential children’s homes and 1 school that are spread across the London, Kent, Hertfordshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire regions of England.

The Support Worker’s role will involve:
Engaging in the effective delivery of residential childcare in accordance with company policies and procedures
Maintaining good professional practices in accordance with the minimum standards for children’s homes
Helping create a positive environment for each young person with particular reference to his or her safety, health and education

The successful Support Worker will:
Possess an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or willing to complete this qualification
Ideally have experience working in a residential children’s home or with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviours
Be ambitious to support young people through positive change
Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check

The salary is £26,000 – £29,400per year, including sleep-ins.

This is a full time permanent role. The hours of work are 173 per month, based on a shift pattern including sleep ins.

This role would suit an experienced Care Assistant, Carer or Residential Support Worker.
