Support Chef

Salary: £13.58 per hour

Our friendly team at Meallmore are looking for a Support Chef to join them in Manor Care Centre.

Located in the historic market town and fishing port of Nairn in the Scottish Highlands, Manor Care Centre is a purpose-built care home offering personalised nursing care to people with physical, neurological or learning disabilities.

As a Support Chef, Meallmore will allocate you your own mentor, as well as a comprehensive induction process. But why stop there? Your role as a Meallmore Support Chef will include:

· Keeping the kitchen areas clean and tidy

· Supporting the catering team with food preparation and create seasonal meals for our residents

· Properly cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene

· Supporting the kitchen by placing orders

· Assist with specialist dietary requirements

· Serve nutritional meals

Required skills:

· Knowledge of food preparation

· Knowledge of food hygiene

· Computer literate

· The ability to stand for extended periods.

· The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· The ability to work in a team.

· Excellent organisational and time management skills.

· Effective communication skills

Salary: £13.58per hour depending on experience + benefits + overtime

Hours: Full Time
