Southampton, Head Office.

It’s our job to help customers create better homes and better lives. It could be yours, too.

We’re looking for a Supply Chain Development Analyst to provide accurate and concise information to inform the strategic direction of B&Q, improving productivity across the supply chain.

You’ll need to be great at analysing complex data from a number of sources. With excellent Excel skills and, ideally, Microsoft Access, your ability to analyse data quickly and accurately will help us to reduce overstock and deliver range planning and replenishment on-target and on-budget.

You’ll work across a number of internal departments including; Merchandising, Logistics, Stock Control, Finance and Retail supporting our projects that deliver the simplification strategy. This will mean sourcing and analysing relevant data to assess and evaluate project issues and risks, and making recommendations for the B&Q supply chain that will maximise productivity and deliver on our expectations of cost, quality and deadlines. You’ll help us deliver range planning, stock management and replenishment and measure the outcomes of our projects through the monitoring of key financial measures and success criteria.

We want you to have good commercial and supply chain awareness and be able to use these skills to influence and negotiate with other departments and external partners of all levels to deliver our projects well. You’ll need to be great at presenting complex data, tailored to specific audiences, and a determined problem-solver to enable our projects to run smoothly and exceed targets. In order to do this well, you need to be comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple projects, and have a track record of establishing good working relationships quickly.

At B&Q, our core purpose is to create Better Homes, Better Lives. We’ve helped more people make the most of their homes than anyone else, and we like to think we do the same for careers. Our policy to promote from within creates a unique culture at B&Q, where people are not just given the chance to thrive, but the support they need to make it a reality. As a Supply Chain Development Analyst at B&Q, this is your opportunity to make a mark in a fast-paced and highly rewarding business. Join us and build a career you can be proud of.

You can do it.
