Overview:
Our client is a global force within the Energy Industry. They are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to strengthen their drive towards world class manufacturing.

The role:
Manage, coach and mentor the Supply Chain team
Proactively look at ways to reduce lead times.
Drive down costs and negotiate with suppliers to bring down spending.
Create and devise a Supply Chain strategy to deliver company objectives.
Directly control and manage both direct and indirect spend.
Set up and devise new international Supply Chains right from forging/casting to machining, fabrication and kit provision.
Initiate and devise long term contracts/agreements.
Lead the sourcing of materials, especially internationally with an emphasis on Supply Chain Rationalisation.

The Person:
CIPS qualified with MCIPS preferred.
Have a strong personality, with a positive and proactive outlook.
A detailed and concise manufacturing knowledge within heavy engineering.
A history of global sourcing.
Strong people management skills
Significant experience of driving down costs and improving lead times.
