Supply Chain Buyer

Salary: £28,800 – £32,400 per year

Our Client; an international manufacturer of components for the Aerospace sector, is currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Buyer on a fixed term 9 month basis at their site in North Wales.

As the Supply Chain Buyer, you will be responsible for working with the Supply Chain Lead, to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day business. Working with internal stakeholders (intercompany) and suppliers to ensure products (including raw material and special processing) are delivered on time to the agreed system price and quality requirements.

On offer to the successful candidate will be a negotiable, albeit based on relevant experience basic salary, together with full benefits package, to include bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete Purchase Order approval process through to issue to supplier.
Check requisitions to ensure correct supplier, nominal code and quotations.
Goods & Services on time delivery – manage and expedite to required lead-times – intercompany and supplier.
Invoice queries – lead investigations and drive resolution to invoice issues.
Blanket order – working with the Category Lead ensure order coverage.
Support data gathering and analysis for key meetings – Business Reviews, Rate readiness and Weekly Management meeting.
Attend daily operational meetings to provide updates from the supply chain and implement daily actions.
Support annual spend and budget forecasting.
Identify opportunities to drive improvements in service levels to internal stakeholders.
Support meetings with suppliers in line with Supplier Relationship Management activities.
SAP – support the roll out of SAP across the company and maintain SAP data integrity.
Cost Reduction – provide ideas to support departmental targets.Qualifications & Experience:

You will ideally be Degree qualified, although those without a formal qualification, but who possess time served experience, will be equally considered.
Should ideally be qualified with the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or be working towards the qualification.
Should be experienced in Procurement or as a Buyer, ideally with Aerospace manufacturing experience or an aligned sector.
You will need strong commercial awareness.
You should be skilled in Supplier and Stakeholder Relationship Management.This position is available with immediate effect.
