Salary: £36,000 – £40,560 per year

The Role

This exciting new opportunity has arisen to support and promote the welfare and pastoral care of students in the Drama School. As a sole role holder, you will offer professional advice and guidance on students’ wellbeing, working to promote resilience whilst also acting as an accessible first point of contact for students needing rapid mental health interventions.

This post requires close liaison with teaching staff, student representatives and third-party providers to ensure students’ needs are being met and will contribute to all policies and plans to support mental health and general wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in at least one area relevant to wellbeing (such as counselling, social work or mental health nursing) and in providing 1-1 support for people in distress as well as knowledge of relevant safeguarding frameworks.

You will have the ability to relate to a wide variety of people whilst being able to set and maintain professional boundaries. Furthermore, you will have the aptitude to respect confidentiality, use tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with students and student matters.
