Summary:

Are you currently an experienced Structural Engineer with around 5 years’ experience of working on a variety of building structures projects? Are you already chartered, or approaching Chartership and living within a 20 miles radius of North Leeds?

If so, we are working on an ideal opportunity, for an Experienced Structural Engineer to join the team of a small but very busy engineering consultancy which is based in North Leeds where you will be taking a lead role on some of the most exciting and diverse projects nation-wide.

Working as a Structural Engineer (Mixed Use Buildings) you will be;

* Carrying out structural surveys of buildings and structures, and providing advice on any issues that may arise. Analysing and reporting on structural defects and remediation if required
* Preparation of conceptual and outline designs for structural schemes
* Preparation of detailed design calculations to British Standards, Eurocodes and relevant design guidance notes. By hand and computer aided techniques
* Preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications for Tender purposes. Production of Construction information for issue to Contractors. By hand and computer aided technique
* Visiting sites during the Construction phase to monitor progress and provide advice to Contractors
* Day-to-day support to colleagues from other disciplines within the office

Skills required for this Structural Engineer (Mixed Use Buildings) role:

* Excellent communication skills, in both verbal and written English
* Minimum 5 years’ UK structural design experience in core materials; Concrete, Steel, Masonry, and Timber
* MIStructE Chartered membership, or working towards and submission within 12 months
