Structural Engineer (Conservation)

Salary: £44,400 – £50,400 per year

We are delighted to be working with one of the leading multidisciplinary consultancies within the north of England. Although based in the north they work on projects covering the UK as a whole and pride themselves on offering imaginative and practical solutions whereby one of the priorities is to bring them in on time and within budget.

They have asked us to help them find a Structural Engineer to join the built heritage and refurbishment team in their York office on a full time, permanent basis. You will be working on Listed Buildings and Scheduled Ancient Monuments as well as non-designated heritage assets across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

Requirements:

• A degree in civil or Structural Engineering,
• A Chartered or actively working towards Chartered status,
• A minimum of 3 years’ within a consultancy environment,
• Analytical and report writing skills,
• A willingness to survey structures at height and within derelict buildings with appropriate risk mitigation,
• A keen interest in heritage buildings is essential for this role,
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) & comfortable to meet clients and construction professionals,
• Excellent attention to detail.
