We are looking for an Administration Assistant based in Ashford, reporting to the Streetworks Team Leader.

The Streetworks Team provides a vital “Front Office” facility between the Highway Authorities and Southern Networks Depots, ensuring work is carried out in line with NRSWA legislation and Traffic Management Act Requirements.

What will you be doing day to day?

  • Administration and investigation of all Streetworks liabilities – receive and log on our database, adhering to Streetworks legislation.
  • Liaise with all Highway Authorities and Southern SGN Depots.
  • Taking urgent defects from Highway Authorities, passing over to Southern SGN depots, meeting our SLA’s.
  • Validation and payment of all Streetworks liability invoices
  • Raising invoices for the recharging of our contractors.
  • Monitoring and responding to internal and external emails.
  • Provide liability management information to the business.

What you’ll need

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong team player and support other colleagues
  • Able to work effectively on own (whilst at home)
  • Common sense and able to use initiative
  • Capable of working to defined deadlines
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities at short notice
  • Computer literate, competent in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn current NRSWA and TMA legislation
  • Able to organise and prioritise own workloads.
  • Knowledge of Streetwork would be an advantage, but training would be given
