Store Person

Based in our brand new Wakefield depot, located within the Eurolink Industrial Estate in Normanton (WF6 1TA), we are looking to recruit a number of full time and permanent Store Persons to join our new team. Working Monday to Friday, 40hrs/wk (typical working hours being between 10:00am to 19:00), we are looking to recruit Store Persons to handle automotive batteries within our warehouse. Typical duties will involve order picking, handling inbound and outbound goods, dealing with customer returns and processing over the counter sales. Experience of using a handheld PDA is of advantage, as is the ability to manually handle a heavy product. Experienced FLT drivers either with a forklift truck licence (FLT) for Counter Balance or Reach is of advantage, but not essential as training can be given. The individual must be happy, helpful and smiley in character and possesses and ‘Can do approach’ to their work and personal life in order for the individual to provide an consummate level of service to our customers.

Essential experience of:
• Working in a busy Warehouse or Distribution Centre
• Accurate & precise in their work
• Happy and outgoing in attitude
• A genuinely friendly individual
• Customer focussed, to ensure that each order is accurately pick and the product is handled and processed consistently well
• Ability to handle a heavy product
• Neat and tidy, able to portray a professional appearance at work
• Some Microsoft Office skills (such as Excel, Word and Outlook)

Desirable experienced in:
• Use of a PDA
• Driving licence (would be of advantage)
• Time Management and Organisational skills

• Ideally educated to High School standards or above. GCSE passes in English or Maths is desirable (although this is not a necessity)
