A successful, high profile company is now seeking to recruit an experienced SQL DBA and SSRS Report Writer to work from offices in London.
Your role will be to manage, support and enhance existing reporting application (SSRS), provide 3rd line support to Operations team for Database related issues and ensuring database stability, security, performance and Disaster recovery.
You will have excellent written and spoken English skills and 4 to 5 years of Microsoft SQL Server experience (SQL 2005/8 R2) in a role where the primary responsibilities above were carried out.
Key responsibilities;
*Development of existing SQL Reporting Services application, from gathering business requirements through to deployment.
*Writing T-SQL queries to facilitate reporting writing.
*Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Database design and development.
*Develop new SSIS packages and SSAS cubes to meet business needs.
*Create and maintain documentation for all projects Database programming stored procedures and database functions.
*SQL Server 2005/2008 R2 Database tuning to ensure optimal performance.
*SQL Server 2005/2008 R2 Database administration to ensure stability and security of all databases.
*Creating and managing SQL Server Clusters.
*Developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans
*Ensuring that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.
*Ad-hoc queries for business users.
The role will suit individuals currently working as a DBA, Database Administrator and be living within a commutable distance of London or willing to relocate.
