Searchability is pleased to be working together with this expanding travel organisation, in their search for an experienced SQL Database Administrator, to be based at their conventional offices near Chester. They are searching for candidates with a minimum of 3 years commercial experience in Database Administration, to be responsible for the complete production, development and testing of database servers. The chosen Database Administrator will have first-rate knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008, T-SQL, Stored Triggers and Procedures, SQL Server Integration and Reporting Services and ideally a background in using other database platforms, such as Oracle, MySQL or Informax.

In order to continue and build upon this success even further, they are seeking a SQL Database Administrator to be responsible for the mass production, development and testing of SQL Server Database Instances across all sites.

The Role.

This role would suit a highly experienced SQL Database Administrator with a strong background in the production, development and testing of SQL Server databases, to be involved in the support of all online and offline trading activities. Using your impressive SQL / T-SQL / Database / Integration / Reporting Services / Administration knowledge, you will ensure the smooth running of all production, development and testing of database servers, in addition to the support of all online and offline trading activity. As SQL Database Administrator you will ensure that the development and maintenance of the SQL Database backup is carried out to the highest standard, using your T-SQL / SQL Server background. A diverse role, the chosen SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for monitoring and tuning SQL Server Database applications, in addition diagnosing and resolving any issues. A varied and exciting role, as SQL Database Administrator you will take a hands-on approach to the development, production and testing of SQL Server databases.

The Skills.

Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
Excellent SQL Server 2000. 2005 and 2008 knowledge
Strong T-SQL knowledge, Stored Procedures & Triggers and SQL Reporting Services
Knowledge of Database Replication, Database Administration & Database Security
Experience of other database platforms (Informix, MySQL, Oracle)Contact.
