Speech and Language Therapist

Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 per year

Shire Healthcare are currently sourcing a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for a full-time (40 hours) permanent position with one of our clients. The successful Speech and Language Therapist will be supporting adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and Autism.

Whilst mainly based at a site in Wrexham, there is an expectation to work across a variety of sites.

The role:

• Managing and complex caseload of adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties
• Completing specialist communication, eating and drinking assessments
• Planning, implementing and evaluating interventions
• Providing supervision to the team of Speech and Language Therapists and Speech and Language Therapy Assistants

The ideal Speech and Language Therapist:

• Holds a relevant Degree/Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registered
• Substantial experience of post-graduate experience as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Experience which is appropriate/transferable to a caseload of adults with mental health needs/learning disabilities
• Experience of working with adults with mental health needs/learning disabilities (desirable)
