They are a leader in the field and are exponentially looking to expand their team. As a Professional Services Consultant | Software Implementation Consultant you are expected to understand their core products written in Java | C# languages. You need to be familiar with java or C# from a software development background so that you have the capability to understand the products and provide appropriate levels of service to clients. You will also be assisting and working closely with the software development team being a point of support for clients in terms of implementation, training and developing extensions. Their client base includes some huge global banks and highly respected Enterprise companies in the industry.

This offers a great opportunity for a technical software developer looking for career progression and something more than just programming. If you have aspirations to move into a client facing role as a Technical Implementation Consultant this could be for you. If you have experience interfacing with customers, developing customer relationships, or providing client support for financial based software this would be highly desirable but not essential.
This role is to accommodate either a recent graduate with good technical skills or an experienced consultant and client facing professional. You would be working as part of a small group based in Oxford with some travel to customer sites (mainly London) and would play a key role in a growing business.

Responsibilities:

* Working with customers to understand their requirements
* Developing reporting solutions using rigorous data modelling techniques
* Assessing the impact of changes requested by customers
* Developing extensions to products
* Training end users to get the most from their solutions

Skills Required:

* Technical understanding of Java | C# based solutions
* Ability to learn quickly and apply complex new technologies
* A passion for customer satisfaction
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong problem solving skills
* Exemplary academic qualifications including 2:1 or above from a top 20 university

Desirable skills:
* Financial industry knowledge
* Development skills, especially Java and Linux
* Experience of OO and AGILE development principles
* Exposure to XML and/or XBRL
