Software Engineer

Salary: £36,000 – £54,000 per year

Our Client based in Spalding, Lincolnshire is looking to recruit a Software Engineer to help bolster our vibrant and energetic development team in Spalding, delivering a diverse set of application platforms for some exciting customers.

Our client has many projects ongoing and many in the early stages of their lifecycle. This would be an excellent time and opportunity to join their expanding team. You will oversee have responsibility for the development of.NET applications and websites and ensure that quality software is delivered according to specification, while the correct procedures are followed in-line with technical/business objectives and company strategy. This role is to be worked remotely and office-based and as per rota system.

Responsibilities:

* Upgrading existing.NET websites and applications.

* Analysing system requirements

* Writing scalable code for.NET software applications.

* Reviewing and debugging.NET applications.

* Providing technical support for junior developers.

* Deploying functional websites, programs, and applications.

Essential Skills

* C#

* SQL Server 2008 onwards

* ASP.Net

* HTML 5, CSS (including Bootstrap)

* JavaScript (including jQuery and other libs/frameworks)

* Deploying code (Team City – desirable)

* Excellent problem-solving skills

* High competency in written and oral English language

Desirable Skills:

* Angular JS

* Vue.JS

* Visual Basic 6

* Entity Framework 6 (Code First)

* Umbraco or similar open-source CMS experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

Person Specification:

You will be a dedicated senior software engineer up to date on all the latest technologies, you will be comfortable working in a commercial development environment having worked to tight deadlines in previous positions, a proven problem solver who can add real value to our dedicated software team.
