Blackpool Council are welcoming agency workers to apply to the post of a Social Worker in their fostering Service. The successul candidate must have experience of this role and will join the established fostering, holding a case load of foster carers, supporting and motivating them through their fostering career to provide the very best of care for our children looked after.

The council require a motivated suitably skilled and experienced social worker who holds a sound knowledge of fostering legislation and practice issues.

As a key worker, the council expect the successful candidate to be able to be part of their in-office skeleton social work team, and be able to undertake home visits to foster carers subject to risk assessments, where it is safe to do so and can keep in touch with families through zoom and other remote means to ensure that placements remain stable and foster carers feel support.

SWE registration
DBS on the update service, or be willing to acquire one
