My client, is market leading food manufacturer, is currently looking for an experience Site Services Engineer to join their team.

You will be managing and controlling the Utilities including: air compressors, refrigeration, boilers, cooling towers,

Responsibilities:
•Meter reading
•Daily liaison with suppliers for utilities servicing
•Daily utility checks and analysis
•Daily update utilities service schedule
•Weekly boiler checks
•Weekly utilities checks
•6 monthly cooling tower cleaning

Waste:

Managing and controlling the waste including: effluent plant, waste segregation, compactor, bulk chemical storage, drive up the level of hygiene and GMP

Responsibilities:
•Managing all waste streams including recycling to exceed Eco KPI’s.
•Implement a waste sorting process
•Daily waste management
•consistent weight figures for all waste, sludge, chemicals and compactor
•manage the waste water treatment plant and carry out laboratory analysis as required.
•Develop strong relationship with contractors to ensure service are carried out as agreed.
•Daily chemical and oil stock checks
•Daily effluent plant checks and corrective action detailed
•Weekly Alpheus service visit report and actions

Managing and controlling general site Services.

Responsibilities:
•Develop strong relationship with contractors to ensure service are carried out as agreed.
•Daily fire panel inspection and correction
•Daily site repairs
•Daily lighting repairs
•Weekly fire, sprinkler and belt tests and logging
•Weekly shower checks
•Monthly fire hose reel inspections
•Monthly emergency lighting checks
•Monthly fire door checks
•Monthly meter readings

REQUIREMENTS:
•Time served and qualified electrically biased maintenance engineer.
•Multi-skilled preferred. If electrical 16th/17th edition qualified.
•City and guilds or NVQ3 qualified.

Utilities:
•Sufficient experience in a similar environment
•Experience working with steam boilers operating at 15 bar, air compressors, boiler water treatment and water softening plant.

Waste:
•Sufficient experience in a similar environment
•Experience managing waste water treatment plants and managing site waste, identifying and implementing improvements to recycle waste and reduce costs.

General Site Services:
•Sufficient experience in a similar environment
•External training on boiler maintenance
•Hygiene standards in a food environment
•Internal training on waste water treatment plant
•Knowledge of quality control ISO documentation
•Health, Safety & Environmental
•PC basic skills minimum
•Refrigeration/ammonia knowledge

This is a permanent role paying around £38,400 to £38,000 Some room for negotiation dependant on experience. Please note working days only.
