An opportunity has arisen for a Site Operative to join the Landmarc Support Services team at Wathgill Camp in North Yorkshire.

As the Site Operative you will be responsible for looking after the buildings on the camp by carrying out housekeeping and maintenance duties. You will be part of a small but dedicated team that takes enormous pride in what they do.

This position is based on a 9 month fixed term contract, covering 37 hours per week from Mon- Sun, a £1025 Variable Days Allowance will be provided to reflect this. Additional hours will be required at times for hand over/ take back of facilities & accommodation, over time is applicable in these instances.

Main Responsibilities

Ensuring the camp is fit for purpose and cleaned to a high standard

Cleaning accommodation and office blocks, including; ablutions, showers blocks, communal areas etc.

Hand over and take back of accommodation and facilities to required standard

Carrying out tests – Flushing of outlets, fire extinguisher checks etc.

Grounds maintenance such as; grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting

Basic maintenance such as; replacing hasp and staples, bedsprings, door locks, moving furniture etc.

Gritting – Snow and ice clearance when required

Waste Management of Portaloo’s – Cleaning and checking of the superloo’s

Waste Sorting Station Duties

Carry out any other additional requirements as needed

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge of Health & Safety, manual handling and safe systems of work

Basic Housekeeping and caretaking skills

Excellent communicator with people on all levels

Ability to complete documentation

Basic IT skills

Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence (essential)

Willing to be vaccinated against work place risks (essential)
