Role – Site Agent

Location – London Airport

Salary – £45,600 – £54,000 + Car Allowance + Package

We are urgently seeking an experienced sub agent on behalf our client; a reputable Regional Civil Engineering Contractor, with offices throughout the UK. With a turnover last year of £93m and an estimated turnover this year of £120m, they are in an enviable position with a healthy forward order book. They work within a variety of sectors including; highways, rail infrastructure, airports, RC structures, water and environmental. They pride themselves on high staff retention and this is most likely to be due to encouraging employees to develop their careers within the company and offering a very clearly defined career path to follow. Joining this contractor now could not be a better time – They have achieved 50% growth over the past 2 years and are well on course to meet our target of doubling in size over a 5 year period.

We are presently seeking to recruit a Site Agent to work for our successful Airports Division. Working on the Maintenance Contract, you will be responsible for managing up to 2/3 small civil engineering contracts at any one time.

As a Site Agent, you will be manage Civil Engineering Projects from planning stage through to final accounts. Responsibilities will include site supervision, health & safety management, supervising labour, producing method statements and risk assessments, site cost/value control, programming, commercial reporting, client liaison, organizing plant & materials and you will be responsible for all correspondence and record keeping.

You will be from a Civil Engineering background and are likely to have obtained a minimum of a HNC in Civil Engineering. You may currently be working as a Site Agent for a Civil Engineering Contractor or you may be a Senior Engineer or Sub Agent looking to take the next step. Either way, it is vital that you possess excellent communication and people management skills and have the drive and enthusiasm to manage a project through to completion, within budget and program.
