Salary: £336 – £384 per day
The Groundworks Division of this highly reputable Construction Group, are looking for a site manager to manage multiple sites ranging from 40 to 350+ plot multi-phased developments & civils works.
The Division undertakes work for public, private and the civils sector, but the majority of the projects are on a preferred supplier basis for national housebuilders within Yorkshire and North Easter England, which they have undertaken for over 40 years.
DAY TO DAY:
- Ensuring customers receive the highest standards of customer service.
- Providing a personal touch, creating ever-lasting memories
- Realising and interpret the client’s visions.
- Planning and scheduling works.
- Procuring high quality material to meet the bespoke requirements of VIPs.
- Articulate the requirements of the clients to the site team including Sub-Contractors.
- Liaising with clients and site teams.
- You will have the responsibility for managing the operation to ensure that client plan targets are met.
- Having a high degree of commercial/business acumen.
- Responsible for the day to day running of their area, commercial and contract performance, health and safety and client satisfaction.
- Manage the working capital requirements of the operation, challenging contracts to submit sales invoices and applications accurately and promptly.
- Ensure that requests, reports, projections, KPI’s and monthly valuations are accurate and submitted on time to meet deadlines and that performance is reported accurately.
- Using management skills to mentor, monitor and developing staff under their control.
- Using business information and reports to manage and direct staff to achieve KPI’s and business targets.
Business Management
- Ensure contracts are completed to programme, in a safe manner and client satisfaction is maintained.
- Ensuring that adequate pre-contract planning takes place so that contracts are delivered in line with profit requirements.
- Continually monitor contracts to ensure deliver in line with cost plans so that profit targets are met.
- Responsible for commercial activities in their operation, ensuring that risk is suitably assessed and managed.
- React promptly and concisely to all requests for information.
- Ensure that the company’s policies and procedures are being met and that the flow of information between all departments and their staff is being maintained.
- Ensure that projections, tender and KPI information is logged and submitted in time and reported accurately.
- Have input and present to both external clients and at internal management meetings.
- Ensure the Client KPIs are achieved.
Key Performance Indicators
- Achieve operating profit contribution / percentage.
- Achieve a client satisfaction score of 95% or above.
- Achievement of Health and Safety compliance whilst carrying out a minimum of 12 site audits per annum.
- Identify resourcing requirements, recruit and manage ongoing performance inclusive of staff engagement.
Qualifications
• Relevant professional qualification.
