Basic salary £42,000 – £48,000+ private medical cover & contributory pension scheme

A new vacancy for a Senior Technical Project & Sales Support Engineer with leading international manufacturer of high-tech process instrumentation used in a wide range of industrial markets. This will be a new role within the company with international scope. The role will be primarily office-based (when not travelling) so candidates should either be already based in the Cambridgeshire/Northants area or willing to relocate at short notice.

The role:
The Senior Technical Project & Sales Support Engineer will be responsible for providing commercial and technical expertise in the support of the company’s global subsidiary, distribution and export sales team. This will include the generation, coordination and dissemination of technical material to distributors, internal staff and customers.

An ideal candidate would be able to assume inside technical sales manager responsibilities either immediately, or after a suitable period of proving his/her skill set and acumen. These would include ensuring a commercial and technical decision-making process was in place to enhance the experience of the company’s global subsidiary and distribution network. The role will also include project support activities, including managing (with the area sales manager) larger projects when required. Once established, the Senior Technical Project & Sales Support Engineer will have several direct reports.

Key candidate requirements:
– Industrial instrumentation background with first-rate technical knowledge
– Ideally having knowledge/background in one or more of the following: Industrial instrumentation/analysers/flowmeters/Pressure sensors/Bag filters for industrial process control
– Educated to degree/HND level in a technical or sales discipline (or equivalent work experience)
