A family run contractor with annual turnover c£5m that operate within Groundworks, Land Remediation, Demolition, Plant Hire and Heavy Haulage within the south east region. They have six office staff and workforce of approximately thirty. The company have a number of enviable clients with repeat orders and actively encourage development from within.

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Due to on-going daily enquiries they are now seeking to appoint an in-house Commercial Lead/QS to take financial control of projects, pricing all incoming tenders and to complete BOQ’s and valuations etc. The role be supported in the short term by the existing Contracts Managers and Director in order for you to get up to speed before taking ownership and developing systems and processes accordingly.

You will:

* Have a HNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying – Highly beneficial but not essential

* Five years plus Quantity Surveying experience managing projects from tender to final account

* Relevant sector experience highly beneficial

* Be commercially and contractually aware

* Excellent organisational skills and highly motivated to succeed

* Ambitious and keen to develop within the business

* Proven stable work history

This role is newly created and will help take the business forward by implementing the necessary commercial functions and eventually allow the growth of the business and develop a commercial team.
